Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 4, 2026. LifeOS is built for U.S. adults coordinating household upkeep and records; have legal counsel review before you rely on this policy with customers.

LifeOS (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the LifeOS web application, optional mobile apps, and related services (the “Service”)—tools to plan maintenance, store receipts and warranties, and coordinate work with people you trust. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Service. The Service is intended for adults managing a household in the United States.

Categories of information we collect

  • Identifiers and account data — Name, email address, authentication identifiers, and profile details you provide (including when you sign in with a third party such as Google, if enabled).
  • Household and home operations — Information you choose to store, such as properties, assets, tasks, work orders, warranties, insurance, recurring maintenance, plans, receipts, vendors, people and pets in your household, documents and vault metadata, calendar-related settings, household subscriptions, utility accounts, projects, workflows, triage notes, and similar records.
  • Sensitive information you may optionally enter — Some fields can hold sensitive information (for example, government identifiers, health-related notes, or financial details). We do not require these fields. Minimize what you store; you are responsible for the accuracy and sensitivity of content you add.
  • Payment data — Paid plans are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers; Stripe processes card data under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • AI and messaging inputs — When you use AI-assisted features (such as Guardian or receipt parsing), we send the relevant content you submit to our configured AI providers to generate responses or structured data.
  • Technical, usage, and security data — Log and device data, IP address, approximate region, diagnostics, error reports, performance traces, and (as described below) optional session replay clips processed by our monitoring vendor (Sentry). We may enable limited personal data in error payloads where needed to diagnose issues.
  • Circle sharing — Data you share with invited members of your household circle is visible to those members according to product behavior and your invitations.

How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
  • To authenticate you and protect accounts.
  • To process subscriptions and communicate about billing or the Service.
  • To operate AI-powered features when you use them.
  • To send transactional or product emails you request (for example, digests or reports) via our email provider.
  • To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

Service providers (subprocessors)

We share information with vendors that help us run the Service, under contractual terms appropriate to their role. Depending on how you use the product and your configuration, this may include:

  • Supabase — Authentication, database, file storage, and related infrastructure.
  • Stripe — Payment processing and billing.
  • Google — AI inference (Google AI / Vertex AI or similar APIs you enable).
  • Resend — Transactional email delivery.
  • Sentry — Error reporting, performance monitoring, structured logs, and session replay (see below).
  • Hosting and deployment — The platform that serves the web app (for example, Vercel or another host you configure).

We do not sell your personal information as “sale” is commonly defined in U.S. state privacy laws, and we do not use third-party advertising cookies on our site. If our practices change, we will update this policy and, where required, offer appropriate choices.

Sentry, session replay, and limited personal data

We use Sentry to capture errors, performance data, and (on a sampled basis) session replay recordings of the web app to reproduce bugs. Our configuration may send default personally identifiable information associated with events (for example, to improve diagnostics). Replay may capture on-screen content you viewed in the session. For how Sentry handles data, see sentry.io/privacy. For cookie and storage details, see our Cookie Policy.

U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, state laws may give you rights to access, delete, or correct certain personal information, and in some cases to opt out of sale or certain sharing. LifeOS is built for U.S. consumers; rights vary by state and circumstance.

  • Access and portability — Signed-in users can download a structured export of much of their data from Settings → Profile (“Export my data”). The ZIP includes JSON files and a manifest; see that screen for scope.
  • Deletion — Signed-in users can permanently delete their account from Settings → Delete account. That removes your user account and associated application data subject to technical and legal constraints. You can also email us to request deletion.
  • Correction — You can update profile and household information in the product where editing is available.
  • Appeals — If we decline a request you believe you have a right to make, contact us at the email below and describe the request; we will explain our decision where required by law.

Legal bases (non-U.S. visitors)

If laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on appropriate bases such as contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security and improvement), and consent where required (for example, non-essential cookies or marketing, as described in our Cookie Policy).

Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we remove associated data in line with this policy and technical capabilities.

Security

We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the Service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International transfers

Our vendors may process data in the United States and other countries. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed where we or our providers operate.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
