Terms of Service
Last updated: March 26, 2026. Legal counsel should review these terms before you rely on them with customers.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of LifeOS’s web application, mobile experiences that connect to the same service, and related offerings (collectively, the “Service”) operated by LifeOS (“we,” “us,” or “our”). The Service helps you track maintenance, warranties, receipts, work orders, and related home and household operations. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract and meet the minimum age required in your jurisdiction (typically at least 18, or older if required locally). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- You are responsible for activity under your account, except where caused by our gross negligence or unauthorized access we failed to reasonably prevent.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
Subscriptions and fees
Some features require a paid subscription. Fees, billing cycles, and taxes are presented at checkout or in-product. Payments are processed by our payment provider; you agree to their terms as applicable. Subscriptions renew until cancelled in accordance with the cancellation method we provide (for example, through a customer billing portal or account settings where available). Unless required by law or stated otherwise at purchase, fees are non-refundable.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate applicable law or infringe others’ rights.
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorization.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users’ access.
- Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or unlawful content.
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law.
- Use AI features to generate unlawful, harmful, or abusive content, or to violate third-party rights.
User content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, back up, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for your content and for obtaining any rights needed from third parties.
AI features
AI-assisted features produce automated outputs. Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. You should verify important information. Do not rely on AI outputs as professional (legal, financial, medical, or safety) advice.
Third-party services
The Service may integrate with third-party services (for example, authentication, cloud infrastructure, payments). Those services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for breach of these Terms, risk to the Service or other users, or legal reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction you designate for your business entity (placeholder — replace with your state/country and venue), excluding conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may modify these Terms. We will provide notice as required by law (for example, by posting an updated version or email). Your continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
